Colorful + Cozy Social Space

Colorful + Cozy Social Space

This was originally a bland white box of space, and we transformed it into a dream colorful and cozy amenity space and model apartment unit! It includes a clubhouse, leasing office, gym, and co-working space that give residents so much flexibility in how they live and gather. The large living areas can be rented out for bigger events with friends and family, while the co-working space offers an easy way to get out of the apartment and settle into a productive workday. We also styled a apartment unit to help residents envision themselves living in the space. Hope you enjoy looking through these spaces and let us know what’s your favorite detail!

Floral backsplash with waterfall countertop edge

This stunning kitchen sets such a colorful and fun tone for the whole space. The large-format floral backsplash instantly becomes a moment on its own, while the black waterfall-edge countertop adds just the right amount of elegance to balance it out. And those bouclé rust colored barstools? They bring the perfect hit of texture and warmth, pulling everything together into a truly layered, interesting design.

unique pendant lighting with gold and black finishes

The gold and black pendant lighting over the island carries that glamorous look throughout the room, elevating the entire space far beyond what you’d expect from a typical apartment clubhouse.

bright blue chairs and large dining table

Residents can rent out this large table for big family or friends gatherings, which is especially helpful if you’re living in a smaller unit that can’t comfortably host this many people. We love how the bold blue chairs contrast beautifully with all the warm rust tones throughout the space!

Bright blue couch and orange curtains in clubhouse

Adding a wood-paneled wall brought much-needed warmth to an oversized space that originally felt sterile and empty with all the stark white. We layered in soft sienna and rust color to give the room a sense of fullness and balance, making it feel inviting instead of echoey or sparse.

Light wood color on accent wall interior design trends

This console is such a showstopper. The bold metal legs and marble top balance beautifully with the warmth of the slat wood wall behind it. To top it off, the artwork brings in those bright, forest-inspired PNW tones, giving the whole vignette a fresh, grounded feel.

Large blue couch with swivel chairs and unique rug

The bold blue sectional instantly anchors this room and sets the tone for the whole palette. Pairing it with deep persimmon accents pillows brings in a soft, layered feel that plays nicely against all the different textures and materials used around the room.

Bright gold lighting and with white ceiling

This gold chandelier brings such a playful energy with all the bulbs hanging at varying heights. It also ties the mid-century modern lamps we placed throughout the space, adding a softer, layered glow to the overall lighting.

work and study area with clubhouse

We created this work-and-study space as a comfortable in-between zone for residents who work from home but still want some separation from their apartment. It’s a highly sought-after amenity in apartment living, and we love how beautifully this space came together.

bright blue clubhouse design with unique wood accessories

We mixed velvet and leather chairs in this room to create a unique look. The sightlines in this space are gorgeous! We love the slatted wood wall, the bright white ceiling, the bold floral backsplash, and the black metal railings that subtly separate the work zone from the play zone.

large artwork in clubhouse area

Using artwork that reflects other elements in the room is one of the easiest ways to keep a design feeling cohesive and fun. We loved how this piece transformed what once was a blank wall into an eye-catching moment.

Leasing office with unique blue wall and complimenting chairs

The leasing office sets the tone as soon as you step inside. The seating ties this more private space back to the main clubhouse, while the large artwork and beautifully wallpapered accent wall adds depth and personality. It feels warm, inviting, and gives potential residents a wonderful first impression.

Unique blue wallpaper with large artwork

The navy blue and gold organic wallpaper we chose for an accent wall in this space bursts with personality, and we paired it with a warm, natural wood console that’s not only stylish but also the perfect little spot to stash all the storage needs in this leasing office.

wood ceiling with lighting integrated in the ceiling

The gym is both beautiful and functional, making it an inviting place to get a great workout in. We wanted to create the feeling of being outdoors, so we added integrated lighting into the wood slat ceiling for a natural, organic glow, painted the walls a rich blue, and designed the space with large windows on two sides to bring in tons of natural light.

blue sofa in living room with colorful design

For many of the multifamily projects we do, there is a model unit for the leasing team to walk people through and envision living in these apartments. This helps them see how they can design the spaces to reflect themselves. What I love about model home units is that we can go a little more bold with color and more playful. The goal is for it to stand out in the minds of potential tenants. No one remembers neutrals, so it' is all about that color!

Velvet blue couches. Unique decor and design.

This cobalt blue sofa is sure to make a statement in any space. The luster in the velvet sofa reflects the light and brings depth into this room. We then layered in touches of turquoise, pallet softeners like beige and black, and metallic fun with gold. Being bold with color is an easy way to stand out in the crowd.

Bright brussed gold chairs for barstools

Color can be sophisticated. Color can be subtle. Color can act as a neutral. Bear with me now. I am a firm believer that blue and green are a neutral. Why you may ask? Well, the grass is green and the sky is blue and every other color is found in nature. So, in Kevin’s logic, blue and green are the backdrop to life, aka, a neutral.

Unique wallpaper in king bedroom

This bedroom makes me smile. The wallpaper reminds me of the cascade mountain range. It is the perfect backdrop to the neutrals of the linen upholstered bed and rattan front night stands. To connect the rest of the room to the wallpaper we layered in some watery blue pillows and lively green plants. It’s all about keeping that connection with nature.

Tall upholstered headboard with mid-century modern lamps

In the secondary bedroom we wanted to trick the eye by creating depth with a darker blue navy wall behind the tall and dramatic headboard. The buckle detail on the headboard pillows give a touch of fashion. Simple walnut wood night stands ground the design while turquoise and yellow pillows help connect the design to the living room styling.

Modern Global Living Room Designs

This design project is the perfect example of sprucing up an outdated space. My client had a lot of her own outdated pieces of antique furniture that simply needed to be reupholstered, space planned, and funked up with some color! Infusing a few additional updated elements make this space feel eclectic, global, and fun!

This Bohemian global interior design styled living room is the perfect example of sprucing up an outdated space. My client had a lot of her own things, it simply needed to be reupholstered, space planned and funked up with some color!

These traditional wine chairs were reupholstered un updated fabric and pained with a white lacquer to freshen them up. I love how the vibrant orange hide pillows bring this to the next level of funk!

I am in love with this Antique Asia wood carved chair! It becomes a conversation piece for the space and shows the homeowners character. The beauty is in the details.

Whimsical bohemian global home décor makes everything more fun.

These use to be tired old "Texas Leather" style ottomans. By adding some vibrancy to them they are now a funky Asian style stool for extra seating.

I wanted to stay clean up on the mantel so I did not detract from the beauty of this local artists original glass artwork.

Gray painted bring fireplace with pops of color add a casual and comfortable feel to this family room. Pops of color bring out the client’s personality.

A view from the fireplace back into the space. It stays funky fresh with this transitional mirrored cube coffee table.

More angles of the transitional eclectic room. You can really see the fun blue in the dining room behind.

Detailed shot of the curvature in the sofa. It definitely softens the room.
